The Events Timeline
A complete, read-only history of everything that has happened.
The Events section is a chronological timeline of everything notable that has happened in your organisation — alerts firing, devices going offline and recovering, readings drifting out of range, and notes left by your administrator. If the Overview answers "is everything okay now?", Events answers "what happened, and when?".
Open it by clicking Events in the sidebar.
Viewing events
- Click Events in the sidebar.
- The newest events are at the top.
- Click any event to open its details — its type, the device it relates to, when it happened, and any extra context (such as the reading and threshold that triggered an alert).
Filtering events
Use the controls above the list to narrow things down:
- Type — show only one kind of event (for example only device offline). See Event Types for the full list.
- Device — show events for one specific device.
- Date range — limit results to a time window.
Where events come from
Each event has a source:
- System events are created automatically by the platform — an alert firing, a device going offline, a value leaving its range.
- Manual events are notes added by your administrator — for example marking a maintenance window.
Events are read-only. They can't be edited or deleted, which makes the timeline a trustworthy record of what really happened.
Investigating an incident? Filter by the device, then by the date range around when it occurred, to see the full sequence — offline, alert, recovery — in order.
