Measurements
Explore the full history of a device's readings on an interactive chart.
A measurement is a single reading from a device at a moment in time — for example 23.4 °C at 14:05. The Measurements page shows the complete history of one device's metric as an interactive chart, so you can study trends, spot spikes, and understand what's normal.
Opening the measurements page
- Click Devices in the sidebar.
- Click a device to open its detail panel.
- Click a metric in the device's metric list (for example Temperature).
The chart for that device and metric opens.
Reading the chart
- The horizontal axis (x) is time; the vertical axis (y) is the metric's value.
- Hover over any point to see the exact value and timestamp.
- Use the date-range selector to zoom into a specific period — the last day, week, month, or a custom range.
Where measurements come from
Not every reading is sent the same way. You may notice a few kinds:
| How it arrives | What it means |
|---|---|
| Ingested | The device pushed the reading to the platform itself (typical for LoRaWAN sensors). |
| On-demand | The platform fetched the reading from an external service on a schedule. |
| Virtual | The value was calculated automatically from another reading — for example turning a raw distance into a "% full". No physical sensor produced it directly. |
You read all of them the same way on the chart; the distinction just explains where the number originated.

- Export the data to a spreadsheet for your own reports.
Some metrics are shown as numbers (temperature), some as on/off states (a door), and some as short text. The chart adapts to the kind of value the metric holds.
